He said, She said

The woman said, “My body is mine. Don’t touch my body.”

And the man said, “Ok. I get it, don’t be all huffy. I’ll hold your ankle. And that’s all I’m going to do.”

The woman gave in.

Before she knew it, he was on top of her.

I love the word “sovereignty“.

The sad thing, though, is that no matter how much you love something (or someone), your love is never a guarantee that you will be able to adequately fight for that which you claim to love when push comes to shove.

CDQ wrote this article the other day and, given his point of view, people would think (and have thought) that he is a communist. Uggh,  people actually still think of that word despite the fact that the USSR is no more; China is just paying lip-service to communism and the Castros of Cuba are now nonagenarians who will soon meet their Maker. Yes, Raul and Fidel are mortals; contrary to popular belief, they are not in possession of Nicolas Flamel’s controversial stone.

My favorite communist, Che Guevarra. I Iove his hairy face, don't you? Picture was from www.biography.com

Some schmuck actually said these  words: “Give me liberty or give me death!” The schmuck had a wife named Sarah who was either possessed by the devil  or had a mental illness. According to legend, Sarah was buried under a lilac tree. Before she died, I think she said,  “Patrick, you will get what you want — your liberty and my death.”

To all the schmucks out there, who would choose death over a life without freedom, here’s a toast. I can’t afford champagne so we will be drinking Sprite instead.

The best thing that happened to Spartacus was David Boyer made this statue of him. The second best thing is when Starz made the TV series starring Andy Whitfield and Liam McIntyre. Picture from Wikipedia.

I have long known that I cannot be like Spartacus. I hate the mere thought of dying on the cross.

So I decided to be like Appian. Or pretend to be Appian, if Appian was a girl.
